OUR TOMORROW STARTS TODAY

Following the ISBHF decision with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic,
the next ISBHF Men’s World Championship will be held in Canada, in June 2022.

Pakistan Canadian Ball Hockey Association (PBHA) is proud to announce that Pakistan will be returning to the World stage and participating in the 2022 World Ball Hockey Championships.

Here are the tournament details:

Dates: June 21 to Monday, June 27 (Finals).

Location: Laval, Quebec

Venue/Rink: Place Bell, 1950 Rue Claude-Gagné, Laval, QC H7N 5H9 Accommodations: TBA

Other details regarding management, coaching staff and roster will be announced soon!

Important information is listed below, which must be adhered to by all selected players in order to play for Team Pakistan.

PLAYER HERITAGE

All players must demonstrate Pakistani heritage as per ISBHF requirements for tournament eligibility and participation. Please submit valid documents as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary delays as ISBHF must review and approve the player’s heritage. Failure to provide or ISBHF rejection of the documentation will prohibit players’ participation in the tournament. Please contact PBHA for further details on the heritage approval process.

PLAYER EXPECTATION

It is expected all players will come to the tournament in shape, with a positive attitude and play regularly in local leagues. Players must be free from any "major" injury.

Please note that we take a full roster of 22 runners and 3 goalies which means 2 players and 1 goalie will be a "scratch" every game. We will dress 13 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goalies every game.

Your preparation and performance will dictate your playing time. Please note, that injuries will dictate roster adjustments. The regular game shall consist of three 15-minute actual time periods and two 10-minute intermissions.

PLAYER ARRIVAL & MANDATORY PRACTICES

As mentioned above, the tourney officially begins on June 21 to June 27 (Finals). Players must arrive in Montreal, Quebec by Saturday evening (June 18) or Sunday morning (June 19) for mandatory team activities and possible practice before the tournament begins.

PLAYER DEPOSIT

Each player must pay a $500 deposit by April 24th, 2022 or earlier to confirm their spot. The deposit will also be allocated for a portion of your player expenses. (Total cost and player expenses will be outlined below in detail). If a player does not pay the deposit by the deadline then he will be replaced.

There will be 6 reserve players named to the team. These players are not on the initial 25-man roster but will replace a player if they are unable to participate or do not meet the terms outlined here. Reserves are not required to pay an initial deposit.

The $500 deposit must be paid as follows:

  • E-transfers can be sent to info@pakistanballhockey.com
  • Please mention your full name in the comments section
  • The password will be teampak2022

FLIGHT

All players will be responsible to book their own flights to and from Montreal, Quebec. It is preferred that the players book their flights before May 1st. We don't want players to wait last minute to book their flights and then possibly drop out due to increased flight costs or lack of flight options. An itinerary of your confirmed flight schedule must be sent to the coaching staff.

ACCOMMODATIONS – TBA

Players are expected to stay with the team except for the Quebec-based players. However, the Quebec players are expected to take the time off so they can be part of all team functions including team meetings, scouting games with the team, team meals etc. It is not acceptable for a player to miss any team function.

PLAYER PACKAGE DEAL

The package includes a Home and away jersey, shorts & socks for games. As well 2 t-shirts, leisure shirt, shorts, ball cap and a hockey bag all in our Team Pakistan colours. This is included in the player’s full payment.

Tracksuits will also be offered at an additional cost.
